There are a ton of conflicting rumors in the market regarding the launch of the iPhone 6. The general consensus is that the event will happen in mid September, but where things are mainly mixed is in the possibility of both the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch variant launching at the same time. Today we land another batch of rumors on the topic, and instead of providing some clarity; it only made things more confusing.
New sources claim that even though iOS 8 is nearing its final stages to be complete, Apple hasn’t decided on a final date for the announcement because the of issues with the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The source claims that even though the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is considered to be on time for an announcement in mid-September, the 5.5-inch model may not be ready due to themanufacturing issues we mentioned earlier. It seems that Apple wants to figure out a way to announce both devices at the same time, and that’s mainly the reason why the company has not decided on a date.
This wouldn’t be the first time that we see Apple experiencing trouble in either announcing or launching a product when it wants to. We all remember the drama behind the white iPhone 4, and we also remember how the iPhone 4s launch was pushed to October after Steve Jobs’ continuous battle with cancer. Still, it does make sense for Apple to prefer to wait and announce both phones at the same time, so stay tuned as we land more information on the topic.
